Tori Kelly - Hiding Place - Album Review

Image
GRAMMY-nominated artist Tori Kelly honors her gospel roots on the new R&B infused project, Hiding Place, which was released today by Capitol Records. Produced by 12-time GRAMMY Award winner Kirk Franklin and available everywhere, the collection features guest artists Lecrae, Jonathan McReynolds and The Hamiltones, official background vocalists for GRAMMY winner Anthony Hamilton. Tori Kelly's vocals shines bright in her newly released album. The album has 8 stunning tracks, and has been blessing my ears since it's been released. My personal favorite is — Soul's Anthem (It Is Well)  It's a classic gospel tone that is very much loved. Hiding Place Tracklist 1. Masterpiece (feat. Lecrae) 2. Help Us To Love (feat. The Hamiltones) 3. Sunday 4. Just As Sure (feat. Jonathan McReynolds) 5. Psalm 42 6. Questions 7.  Never Alone (feat. Kirk Franklin) 8. Soul’s Anthem (It Is Well) ***I received this album in exchange of a honest review. My thoughts were based so...

Matt Redman - Glory Song - Album Review

Image
Matt Redman teamed up with several of his worship-artist friends for this album, first releasing the track “Gracefully Broken (feat. Tasha Cobbs Leonard).” Tasha Cobbs Leonard also released her own version of this song on the same day! The album also features Kierra Sheard, Guvna B, Madison Cunningham, and Kim Walker-Smith.  Matt Redman is an incredible songwriter and worship leader. He's written and sung some of the most well-known worship songs such as, Heart Of Worship, 10,000 Reasons, Blessed Be Your Name, and so much more!  My Thoughts I absolutely love worship music, so I was very excited that I got the opportunity to review Matt Redman's new album. Glory Song is a beautiful worship album. The lyrics, music, and  vocals are all just amazing. There's a song for everyone on this album - whether you want to get up and dance, or just sit and listen. You can definitely feel the power of Jesus through these songs.  Some of my favourites from the albu...

The Summer I Dreaded - Or So I Thought - God Was In The Midst Of Everything

Image
Ah, my dreaded summer 2017.... Not gonna lie, I really did dread this summer because, I thought it was going to be a drag. I had nothing planned. I mean, how could you go from the BEST summer in 2016 to the worst summer in 2017? I went from getting to Worship Jesus with my favourite humans, AND getting to meet them to... nothing. But then again, God is faithful. He never fails, and He NEVER will. Life with God is the BEST life ever, and I'm "100 Billion X" positive (UNITED joke, ha) my summer could testify to that. ps. I love how God speaks to me through my UNITED fam. It's awesome, UNITED's the best, and God's the greatest.  May 2017 May, always one of my favourite months. School ends. Summer break begins. The best, ha. May started out great, actually, it was amazing! My aunt and uncle who live in China were home, and I had the best time hanging out with them. It was special because this time when they came home, I told them I was ready... ready to get...

Hillsong UNITED - Suprises Fans With New Album - WONDER

Image
“Have we lost the Wonder?—the hope, the imagination to dream, to believe—the tenderness to listen and lead first with mercy—the grace to empathise—the courage to trust—the fearlessness to love, without pretence or condition. To see beyond the facts without dismissing them. To respond beyond the fear without reciprocating it. To sing beyond the noise, without adding to it. This is the challenge, and this is what worship—if worship can be summed up as an expression of art and music and story—is ultimately designed to do. To elevate the conversation, re-awaken the soul to something other, and lift our eyes to the wonder of a superlative TRUTH.” - Joel Houston Wonder is the 6th studio album from Hillsong UNITED, the two most recent Zion and Empires charting #1 on the ARIA chart in Australia and #5 on the Billboard Top 200. Zion recently went Gold in the USA and Empires is not far behind. Hillsong UNITED's new album, Wonder, releases June 9, 2017.  Wonder available for p...

Kari Jobe - The Garden Tour - My Experience

Image
This past Saturday, March 25, 2017, I had the opportunity to worship with Kari Jobe, her husband, Cody Carnes, and the opening band, Leeland. I had such a great time. The worship night was much needed for my soul. Kari reminded us to keep God the center focus, which is a good reminder that God is who we worship and not Kari or anyone else. The night was ultimately about healing. Kari shared a story about her sister, Kris, who gave birth to a stillborn baby, James Ivy, whom is now in Heaven with Jesus. Kari shared with us the pain and the grieving process with her sister, Kris, having to lose her baby, and celebrating a new life with the birth of Kari's son, Canyon. In that process God was revealed to Kari in the garden that was behind of Kari and Cody's house in Nashville. In that garden was ivy that rose high above the fences. It reminded Kari of her niece, James Ivy. Kari wrote the album, "The Garden" from a very real and raw place in life. For her tour, The Garden ...

Kari Jobe - The Garden - Album Review

Image
Kari Jobe is starting the new year on a high note with her latest release, "The Garden." Before the release of "The Garden", Jobe put four tracks out, The Cause of Christ, Heal Our Land, Fall Afresh, and the title track, The Garden. While grieving with her sister to celebrating the birth of her son, Jobe gives us a glimpse of how she was able to cope with it all by worshiping God through the valley low and mountain high. Jobe continues to inspire people around the world with her latest release, "The Garden." Some of my personal favorite tracks are, I Will Sing, Heal Our Land, and Closer To Your Heart. ***Disclosure - I received a copy of this album. My review is based soley on my opinion of the artist/album.
